Question

I recently purchased a new telephoto lens for my camera. One of the lenses is made of fluorite, and the other is made of a special low-dispersion optical glass. This means that the light passing through the lens is not broken up into its corresponding colors. While great for photography, it would not be ideal for a gemstone. Which of the following gemstones would make the worst lens?
a. Lapis Lazuli
b. Quartz
