Yup again last my previous few questions, this wasn't a question, they difference is that this is a feedback not any fandom stuf

fs (I know you guys don't know anything about my last question i point it out just for someone notice it and answer it directly)
Did this ever happens to you guys? Like you ask a fandom question or theory about it waiting for who is also in the fandom to answer it which is exciting, but then a bunch of people come here taking points by:
"I love the show/movie"
"I like them"
"I don't know"
or just a "yes" or "no" when you ask for evidence lol
Sure sometimes you can put those as answer of telling ppls you like it if they asked anyone else like them in the fandom but just read question closely please, then made decision of what answer you need to put is most suitable

What's the point of answering them if you only have those answer, please read question carefully, just because is a fandom question not education which just for fun doesn't mean you don't need to read the question before you answer it!

Also for those keep putting "I don't know" as answer i just want to as is it really THAT honorable announce everyone "I don't know the answer!" telling everyone you don't know you just here get points, I;m pretty sure it is for you guys, telling peoples you don't know it for every question was honorable. Okay, now seriously, you guys just made a fool out of yourself, sure you get the points that all matter but by what cost? We didn't put that many points up for a total random useless answer, okay?!

This is just very super annoying, if you don't want to get report please stop, for me, I already report near 10 ppl by a week...just please stop, I will be really appreciate that.

Verdich [7]

Answer:

Cognitive dissonance

Explanation:

In psychology, the term cognitive dissonance refers to the mental discomfort experienced by a person who holds contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values.

This discomfort is triggered by a situation in which a person's belief is contradicted by new evidence perceived by the person so the person will try to find a way to resolve the contradiction to reduce their discomfort.

In this example, Sonya thought sororities were filled with snobs, however during her first week in campus she was approached by a sorority member who invited her to a social function.

We can see that <u>Sonya's beliefs about sororities were contradicted by the new evidence she perceived when she attended the social function</u>, this made her feel cognitive dissonance and <u>her way to resolve the contradiction was to conclude that sororities do a lot of good things for the community.</u>

Thus, Sonya's change in attitude to match her behavior relates to cognitive dissonance.
