Intaglio printmaking can be dated back to the "Sumerian" people, around the year of 3000 BCE. The name itself however is relatively new, coming from the Latin "intagliare" which means "to cut"
I believe it is (A.)woodblock because it was first in the year 200 and that was the first year that found printmaking.
