In your opinion do you think Utterson is doing the right thing in trying to protect his friend? explain in your own words in 3 t
Luden [163]
In my opinion I think that Utterson is doing the wrong thing in trying to protect his friend because as this was based in the Victorian times it shows that a true Victorian gentleman would be a loyal and honest man, here Utterson is a lawyer, even upon discovering Hyde's letter is almost certainly a forgery, Utterson refrains from confronting Jekyll to protect his reputation, In this way, Utterson loyally protects his friend. In contrast, Jekyll lies to Utterson, defending Hyde with a fake letter. Here, for the first time, the reader begins to see hypocrisy in Dr. Jekyll. He claims to be a loyal and honest man, but in fact he is a liar and forger.

How does the author's decision to begin with a description of the city affect the reader's perception of Babbitt's situation The
dlinn [17]

Personal Explanation:

The authors decision to add many details to Babbitts situation (most likely) to help the reader gain more knowledge about how Babbitt thinks or how they see the world around them. Maybe it's a very detailed description of what Babbitt wants to see?  Or what they want the world around them to become. There are many ways a reader could interpret this.

I hope that helped at least a little. :)
