Hyperbole - an exaggeration of a sentence ( such as " I'm so hungry I could eat a horse " )

Imagery - using certain words to create an image in a readers mind

Onomatopoeia - used for effect. Words such as "Boom!" or "Pop!" could be an example of this

Symbolism - Uses symbols such as people, words, objects,. or places to represent something

Repitition - Repeating something that has already been written

Allusion - To call something in mind without specifically mentioning it
