andrezito [222]

Answer:

Washington wanted good relations with all nations and feared that any permanent allies with certain nations could drag America into European conflict and wars especially since America is in a unique situation when dealing with Europe as they have common sets of interests that are no where near or as complicated as Europe's. Washington also feared that foreign affairs could affect America's domestic policies since it could sell out America's need for peace and prosperity in exchange for European ambition, rivalshup, and interests

What aspects of calvinism might have appealed to people in a time of uncertainty?
Paraphin [41]

Calvinism is basically Protestantism, but since John Calvin played a huge role in Calvinism, it is named after him. The people who practiced Calvinism, often believed they were "chosen" by God to like on their life and do what they are told. They thought that God had picked them to make a perfect Christian community, as they had lived good and true lives so they were hand chosen by God himself. They trusted in the fact that if they did this and created a pure Christian community, while living a happy life with no sin, they would earn salvation from God.
