RSB [31]
Economically it had a positive impact on the South, it allowed their economy not to be solely reliant on agriculture. However, as far as their society goes there wasn't a change in their belief system in their stance on African Americans. What was the greatest cause of tension between the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II? different forms of gov
Mumz [18]
I believe that most of the tension was focused on the threat of nuclear war. One of the main focuses of the Cold War was to amass more nuclear weapons than the other side. This created more pressure than both sides could handle, and it created tons of scenarios where, if not treated differently, could have caused global thermo-nuclear war that could destroy Earth. Both sides wanted to prevent that from happening.
