Many people did not choose this, but Martin Luther King Jr. demonstrated that there is always a choice when he showed resistance when arrested. That people have options and do not have to live with the pain they once felt. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s decision restored many people's heritage, land, and homes. Dr. King "gave us back our homeland," says Walker.
