At first she talks about the beauty of women and the protection they are provided through draping/covering themselves; and protecting their privacy so that no man can steal a glance at a part of the woman he has no right to see. At first it seems like there's a positive mood but then she writes:
" But though no hand unsanctioned dares
Unveil the mysteries of her grace,
Time lifts the curtain unawares,
And Sorrow looks into her face . . .
Who shall prevent the subtle years,
Or shield a woman's eyes from tears?" I'm thinking that it is D because she references the custom throughout the poem then expresses how the veils may protect women from lust full eyes but it doesn't protect them from sorrow.

When they make that statement, “I am Malala,” the people mean that they stand for the struggle and values that Malala upheld.

Values are principles that are upheld by individuals and societies. When the people said that they are Malala, the statement is not to be understood literally.

What they mean is that they support Malala and the struggle she fought for. One of these struggles is the liberation of women.
