Once you’ve chosen a topic, what should you do next?
IrinaK [193]
Once you have chosen a topic, you must conduct research in order to write your paper accurately. However, if your paper is a personal narrative, for example, you do not need to conduct research. In this case, your next step is to create an outline so that you can organize your paper. If it is a paper that needs research, you cannot develop an outline until you have researched, learned and understood your topic.

I need help writing an essay, I've never been good at writing...
vichka [17]

Answer:

This is the introduction to my essay, hopefully you can start your essay off of this:

“Ethan Frome” by Edith Wharton is a story filled with sorrow and regret. The protagonist, Ethan Frome is shy and introverted, which makes the reader sympathize with him. In the novel, Ethan obsesses over a woman who is not his wife, but he is unable to leave his wife to be with this other woman. Edith Wharton highlights the social and moral limitations that are placed upon Ethan by himself and the residents of his small town, Starkfield. These limitations are what makes Ethan unable to leave his wife. The author also acknowledges the depressing atmosphere of winter in Starkfield. Wharton shows that when arriving at Starkfield, someone might say that the winter weather seems magical and brings happiness. However, one will realize that the long period of winter brings adversity to the small town and its residents.

I wrote my body paragraphs based off of the major themes that I saw in the story btw
