The main focus or purpose for a reader when reading a classic prose should be: B. understanding what is happening in the story.

A prose can be defined as a literary device that refers to speaking or writing that follows a fundamental (basic) grammatical structure, especially with words and phrases that build sentences and paragraphs.

Classic prose is usually used by a writer to take a specific stance on the following elements of style:

 • Presentation
 • Thought
 • Writer
 • Reader
 • Truth
 • Language

Basically, a classic prose is simply a conversation between a writer and a reader, in which the writer presents specific information to the reader.

In this context, the main focus or purpose for a reader who's reading a classic prose should be understanding what is happening in the story written by the writer.
