Answer:

Total Maximized Profit = $2612.5

Explanation:

given data

Total Cost TC = 10(QE + QW)

QE = 100 - 2PE

QW = 100 - PW

solution

we consider here Q is = QE + QW

so total cost  TC = 10 Q

we first derive it Marginal Cost by taking derivative of TC w.r.t Q  that is

MC = \frac{dTC}{dQ}

MC = 10

so when crusty practice price discrimination then it will different marginal revenue from each market is

QE = 100 - 2PE

and

Total Revenue from market E is

E = TRE = QE × PE

E =  100PE - 2PE²

and

Marginal Revenue from E is

E  = MRE = \frac{dTRe}{dPe}

E = 100 - 4PE

and

now we put MRE = MC

100 - 4PE = 10

PE =  $22.5

and here QE will be

QE = 100 - 2PE

QE = 100 - 45

QE = 55 units

and

TRE = 55  × 22.5

TRE = $1237.5

and

now Considering second neighborhood W

QW = 100 - PW

so here

TRW = 100PW - PW²

and

MRW = 100 - 2PW

now we equating MRW with MC

so it will be

100 - 2PW = 10

PW = $45

and

Q = 100 - PW

Q = 100-45

Q = 55 units

so

TRW = 55 × 45

TRW = $2475

so here

Total Revenue will be

Total Revenue = TRE + TRW

Total Revenue = $1237.5 + $2475

Total Revenue = $3712.5

and

Total Cost will be

Total Cost  = 10(55+55)

Total Cost  = $1100

and

Total Maximized Profit  will be

Total Maximized Profit = TR -TC

Total Maximized Profit = $3712.5 - $1100

Total Maximized Profit = $2612.5

Illinois Company is attempting to develop the cost function for repair costs. The following past data are available: Machine Hou
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

$480

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

Machine              Hours Repair Costs

2,400                       $6,385

1,200                        $3,480

2,000                       $5,285

3,400                       $8,980

Now,

                       Machine              Hours Repair Costs

Highest             3,400                       $8,980

Lowest              1,200                        $3,480

Difference        2,200                       $5,500

Unit variable cost =  $5,500 ÷ 2,200

= $2.5

Total cost at high level = $8,980

Machine hours highest level = 3,400

Also,

Total cost at high level = Fixed cost + Variable cost at highest level

or

$8,980 = Fixed cost + [ $2.5 × 3,400 ]

or

Fixed cost = $8,980 -  [ $2.5 × 3,400 ]

= $8,980 - $8,500

= $480

A company's fixed operating costs are $420,000, its variable costs are $3.20 per unit, and the product's sales price is $4.65. W
Hatshy [7]

Answer: The volume of sales that will result in a break-even point is 289,655 units

Explanation: For any organization or company to break-even means its total costs is just the same as its total revenue. This means no profit, and no loss either. Or better still, profit/loss equals zero.

The equation to determine the profit or otherwise of an organization is given as Revenue minus Cost. That is, the sales figure should exceed the cost of production, and the excess would be the profit. If on the other hand the cost of production exceeds the sales figure, then the equation would result in a negative figure which simply means a loss has been recorded.

In the question above, the costs have been given as;

Fixed cost = 420000

Variable cost = 3.2y

Total cost = 420000 + 3.2y

Where y is the number of units produced.

Also the revenue has been given as 4.65y

That is, sales price multiplied by number of units produced/sold

The profit is given as revenue minus cost while the break-even point is given as revenue equals cost, that is;

420000 + 3.2y = 4.65y

Collect like terms and you have;

420000 = 4.65y - 3.2y

420000 = 1.45y

Divide both sides by 1.45

289655.172 = y

y ≈ 289,655

Therefore the sales volume that will result in a break even point is 289,655 units

Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

An exception based on public policy.

Explanation:

Employment at will according to the United States is a doctrine that permits the employer and employee to work together in an indefinite period of time, whereas they are able to terminate their contract with any necessary fair clause.

In many counties around the world, employers always look for reasons to terminate or stop their employees from working, whereas an exception based on public policy negate this doctrine.
