What ia meant by green revolution
zhenek [66]

Answer:

Green revolution, great increase in production of food grains (especially wheat and rice) that resulted in large part from the introduction into developing countries of new, high-yielding varieties, beginning in the mid-20th century. Its early dramatic successes were in Mexico and the Indian subcontinent. The new varieties require large amounts of chemical fertilizers and pesticides to produce their high yields, raising concerns about cost and potentially harmful environmental effects. Poor farmers, unable to afford the fertilizers and pesticides, have often reaped even lower yields with these grains than with the older strains, which were better adapted to local conditions and had some resistance to pests and diseases. Which type of reef forms very closel to the shoreline of a volcanic island
ra1l [238]
They are called fringing reefs. They grow directly from shore and form borders along the shoreline. When a fringing reef continues to grow upward from a volcanic island that has sunk entirely below the sea level, an atoll is formed. Atolls are usually circular or oval in shape, with an open lagoon in the center. The fringing reef is the most common type of coral reef. They however tend to be very sensitive to human induced pollution in the water and are easily destroyed by such.

Identify four changes that a stream undergoes before it reaches the ocean?
Yanka [14]

1 - The flow of the river may change as water is fed out into tributaries. 2- As a river flows it may etch out the river bed and create a gulley as it moves sediment and debris. 3- Depending on the speed of a stream it can form into a meandering river with twists and turns. What is interesting about these rivers is they actually move as debris is deposited on one side of the meander and picked up on the other. 4 - Depending on topography the river may increase in speed and give you rapids.
