Kind Acts

I remember a time when things went downhill for me. It was in third year high school when my grades went down and I was grounded at a time when a time when there was something important that I wanted to do. Worse still, someone I liked had feelings for someone else. It was during that sad moment that someone took the time console me and cheered me up. That simple act of kindness helped me through the times and proved to me that a little kindness goes a long way. A kind act can have a powerful and inspiring effect on people down on their luck. Many times we hear stories of people who stumbled then rose out of the ashes. This was due to acts of kindness such as buying someone a meal when they are hungry or helping them pack their belongings or simply being there in times of sorrow and tragedy as a shoulder to lean on. Simple gestures like that give hope when we feel that there is none. We realize that people care and are there when we need them. It doesn’t have to be great deed. Just a simple gesture with the purest of intentions can work wonders for those in despair. Their feel that that they are not alone and that there is always someone who cares and that is food for the hungry soul. A little kindness goes a long way and many people who felt now lead better lives today.

PLEASE HELP IM CONFUSED!
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

Choice C! :)

Explanation:

Appositives are groups of words that rename the noun next to it. You hear them all the time in normal conversations. It's easiest to identify them by seeing which flows best and which has the correct comma placement.

Choice D is wrong because 'very badly' is acting as an adverb phrase.

Choice B is wrong because it breaks up the sentence.

Choice A is wrong because 'the main one in town' does not rename the post office.

Oedipus seals his own fate by doing all of the following, except...
frosja888 [35]

Oedipus seals his own fate by doing all of the following, except D. solving the riddles that lead to his ruin.

What is a Narration?

This refers to the storytelling that shows the various sequences and plot advancements that occurs with the aid of a narrator.

Hence, we can see that from the complete text, Oedipus is a cursed man who is destined to be ruined and he has carnal knowledge of his own mother, and also Tiresias prophecied that Oedipus would gouge out his own eyes.

Therefore, we can see that he commanded to be executed, removed his own eyes, and banished himself, but the only thing he did not do was option D which was solving the riddles that lead to his ruin.
