A Surprise Birthday Party

January 17, 2021

Susan’s drawing room

Dear Diary,

Last week I had the best birthday surprise of my life. My mother had told me that since it was lockdown we would not go out anywhere so basically we would spend this birthday at home. But it wasn’t the case. I woke up on my birthday and saw the whole house decorated. Dad said that this was so that I felt happy at home. I had my breakfast and was playing with my gifts which my parents had bought me when I heard the doorbell. Mum told me to go and get ready as some relatives had come to wish me.I went into my room to change and when I came into the living room I found all my friends were waiting. I was so delighted to see each of them. It was the surprise of my life. Everyone had even brought me gifts which were kept on the table. After that we cut the cake and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” for me. This was followed by lunch and some lovely snacks which mum had prepared.

I will be writing back soon to keep you updated on some of the wonderful gifts I have received. Till then bye.

Susan

____ [38]

Answer:

You may not operate a vehicle unless all child passengers <em><u>under the age of 16 years</u></em> are either wearing a safety belt assembly or are securely fastened into an approved child restraint device.

Explanation:

Safety in driving or operating a vehicle provides a possibility of preventing possible injuries or accidents. This is why drivers or potential drivers are required to take a driver's exam to get their license to verify and 'educate' them about safety both for the occupants and the public around them while operating a vehicle.

One of the rules of the requirement that involves <em>children or young people is that those under the age of 16 years are required to use a safety belt or be securely fastened in an approved child restraint device</em>. This will keep them safely in place in cases of any accidents. This is a legal requirement for any parent or adult to safely operate a vehicle.

Read these stanzas from the poem "A Poet and His Song" by Paul Laurence Dunbar.
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is Both poems encourage endurance through hardships.

Explanation:

The similarity between the poem <em>"A Poet and His Song"</em> by Paul Laurence and <em>"Mother to Son"</em> by Langston Hughes is that both poems express the need to prevail in any difficult situation, always working hard for it.

In both poems the authors show how other people have more opportunities than them. In <em>"A Poet and His Song"</em> the author says:<u> "I work hard, and toil and sweat,  While others dream within the dell;"</u> and in "<em> Mother to Son</em> ":"<u> I'm still climbing, And life for me ain't been in the crystal stair.</u> ". However, although things have not been easy for them, they have always been working hard and continued, facing any problem that has come their way.
