Answer:

The Schlieffen Plan was ultimately unsuccessful

Explanation:

The German military command put the Schlieffen Plan into action at the start of the war, the basis of the plan was to bring a swift defeat to the french by attacking through Belgium and quickly taking the french industrial region and capital. The major point was to focus all power onto the western front and leave the eastern front with the bare minimum. the plan eventually became unsuccessful after the defeat caused by the french at the first battle of Marne. The defeat caused Germany to have to stop its assault, buying time for the east to collapse on the thin German lines.

Difference between the "old right" and the "new right" in the 80s?
lawyer [7]

The difference between the "old right" and the "new right" in the 80s was in their movement towards participation in governing coalitions.

What is the old right?

The Old Right is simply an informal designation for a branch of American conservatism most prominent from 1910 to the mid-1950s, though it never became an organized movement.

Most of the members were Republicans. The term "Old Right" distinguishes them from their New Right successors who came to prominence in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

What is the new right?

The New Right refers to the movement of American conservatives in the 1970s and 1980s in opposition to liberal policies on taxes, abortion, affirmative action, and also foreign policy stances on the Soviet Union.

Thus, the difference between the "old right" and the "new right" in the 80s was in their movement towards participation in governing coalitions.

Was Abraham Lincoln’s views on race reflective of his morals or were they utilized for political gain?
Montano1993 [528]

Lincoln was firm politically in proposing that slavery is morally wrong but he was not an abolitionist himself.

Explanation:

His views regarding the racial equality were always tending to be controversial and complicated. There had been a situation wherein Lincoln admitted that constitution mandated certain clauses for abolition but he did not know what exactly need to be done to abolish slavery from the current political system.

Lincoln seemed to be working with abolitionists but did not count himself to be totally responsible to abolish slavery. Only with the emancipation he could win over the black’s votes.
