The Greeks are best known and renowned for their intellectual progress in the fields of the philosophy and politics. They were the ones that were the most active and most developed on European soil, and lots of their philosophers were very influential all over the region, and are still influential even nowadays. The Greek philosophers were also taken as a basis for the Renaissance at the end of the Middle Ages. The Greeks loved politics, and they were the ones that introduced the initial forms of democracy to the world, and that is the political way to whom most of the countries in the world are orientated to nowadays.
