When the Separatist Pilgrims came to Plymouth, they wished to be seperated from the seemingly harsh Christian beliefs of the King, and find a religion themselves.

C, the religious problems did slow down the education in middle colonies
The British North American colonies reflected on their mother country in that they had small legislative governments in the colonies which were modelled along the English Parliament and a number of small colonies had a main religion, something similar to England.
One of the main similarities between the North and the South in the United States during this time was that they were both major exporters, and relied on trade heavily--however a major difference was that the South was almost entirely agricultural, while the North was almost entirely merchant-based.
