If it’s E-file with a direct deposit, it’s usually 1-3 weeks. If it’s paper file with a direct deposit, it will take about the same time. If it’s a E-file with refund check in the mail, it usually takes about 6-8 weeks.

Which do you think is better?/Which do you prefer? FedEx or UPS?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

I personally like UPS because most of the times I have to send documents or goods domestically and UPS is very well known for its domestics shipments and I also prefer it because of its low rates as compared to FedEx which has higher rates. I am also comfortable with UPS because of its customer services. They respond to your query very quickly and try to resolve it as soon as possible. Their first priority is always their customers.

Jacob has taken an suv on lease from free cruisers inc. for a period of four years. jacob does not need to pay any extra amount,
Alinara [238K]

What Jacob will have is a lose ended lease. It is because the close ended lease has been provided to him because he needs to surrender or to turn in his car, specifically the SUV, which is at the end of the term of the lease.

A speaker who thinks uncritically looks for good reasons to accept or reject others' opinions.

That speaker tends to <span>closed-minded and impulsive.
The most important things for that speaker is most likely not finding the best outcome from the people around them that could be done if they just work together , but rather to become the center of attention by diminishing other people's value (putting them down)</span>

Choose the statement that is correct. A. The MC curve intersects the AFC, AVC, and ATC curves at their minimums. B. Initially
shepuryov [24]

Answer: C. The ATC curve eventually slopes upward because average variable cost eventually increases

Explanation:

The Law of Diminishing Marginal Returns causes the Average Total Cost curve to eventually slope upwards because the Average Variable Cost will increase.

Why?

At first, with production increasing, a firm will be very efficient at producing a certain good thereby driving the cost down per unit. As time goes on however, the law of Diminishing Marginal Returns comes into play as more is invested into the business. The cost per unit will therefore rise which will lead to the ATC curve going upwards.

I have included a simple graph to illustrate.

Repair calls are handled by one repairman at a photocopy shop. Repair time, including travel time, is exponentially distributed,
wolverine [178]

Answer:

the average number of customers awaiting repairs = 0.30

the system utilization = 42

the amount of time that the repairman is not out on a call is  = 4.64 hours

the probability of two or more customers in the system = 0.1764

Explanation:

Given that :

Repair time, including travel time =  mean of 1.6 hours per call.

Requests for copier repairs = mean rate of 2.1 per eight-hour day

i.e mean rate R = 2.1/day

Time = 8 hours

thus; mean rate μ = 8 hours/ 1.6 hours = 5

(a)

Let the average number of customers awaiting repairs be I_i :

I_i = \dfrac{R^2}{\mu (\mu-R)}

I_i = \dfrac{2.1^2}{5 (5-2.1)}

I_i = \dfrac{4.41}{5 (2.9)}

I_i = \dfrac{4.41}{14.5}

\mathbf{I_i = 0.30}

the average number of customers awaiting repairs = 0.30

(b) Determine system utilization.

The system utilization is determined as follows:

\delta = \dfrac{R}{\mu}

\delta = \dfrac{2.1}{5}

{\delta = 0.42}

\mathbf{\delta = 42}

(c) The amount of time during an eight-hour day that the repairman is not out on a call is calculated as :

Percentage of Idle time = 1 - \delta

Percentage of Idle time = 1 - 0.42

Percentage of Idle time = 0.58

However during an 8 hour day; The amount of time that the repairman is not out on a call is = 0.58 × 8 = 4.64 hours

(d)

the probability of two or more customers in the system by assuming Poisson Distribution is:

P(N ≥ 2) = 1 - (P₀+ P₁)

where;

P₀ = 0.58

P₁ = 0.58  × 0.42 = 0.2436

P(N ≥ 2) = 1 - ( 0.58 + 0.2436)

P(N ≥ 2) = 1 - 0.8236

P(N ≥ 2) = 0.1764

Thus; the probability of two or more customers in the system is 0.1764
