Which option would be correct?? #10

English
1 answer:
tangare [24]2 years ago
3 0

Answer:

the first one

Explanation:

An independent clause is simply a clause that makes sense on it's own.

So which ever answer choice makes sense on it's own is an independent clause and is likely the answer

Help us find your sisters purse. this is a independent clause because it makes sense without the dependent clause, so it might be the answer choice but let's look at the other answer choices just in case.

anywhere you want. this is a dependent clause because it doesn't make sense by itself. so this can't be the answer.

thinking there's nothing else to do. this clause overall just doesn't make sense so we can eliminate it.

bring back the car when you're done. this makes sense by itself meaning it's an independent clause

so its between the first and second one. which ever makes the most sense with the dependent clause is the answer.

Before you go, help us find your sisters purse.

Before you go, bring back the car when you're done.

The first one makes the most sense because in the second one, it's asking you to do an action before the action is done and when the action is done which is not grammaticality correct.

inessss [21]
Well, he starts off by justifying his reasons with patriotism. "Nowhere is the promise of innovation greater than in American-made energy." He also uses facts and promises of a brighter future to gain an audience. "75% of our potential offshore oil and gas resources. Right now, American oil production is the highest that it's been in 8 years. Last year, we relied less on foreign oil than in any of the past 16 years." We also see more facts in his closing statements, "But with only 2% of the world's oil reserves, oil isn't enough" He then inadvertently talks about different types of energy sources. These being clean, reliable and opening jobs. This passively emphasizes that we need clean energy for ambiguous reasons, such as global warming and pollutants. It also gives the listeners hope of an increase in the job market. We know that America has had low job-rates lately, so the possibility of new jobs sparks a fire in the heart's of the people. Also, he mentions the gas will be cheaper, which is big, too, since our economy has gone through inflation and a financial depression, and because of this gas has skyrocketed. Cheaper gas motivates people to invest (Taxes?) in these new ideologies and technologies.

Hope this helps :)

How are immigrants being oppressed?
Brilliant_brown [7]
Numerous international human rights documents firmly establish the principle that no human being can be “illegal” or outside the protection of the law. Yet despite the clearly established principle that discrimination and abuse based on immigration status are violations of human rights, U.S. government policies continue to sanction human rights violations against migrants and immigrants.
