Answer:
D) As a result, the smart ape was able to create a hook to bring down the fruit from the tree.
Explanation:
D, sentence 4. "Next, a huge, cumbersome crank..." is how the sentence should be written. "huge" and "cumbersome" are two adjectives in a row, which is one hint that it's your answer; however, in sentence 2, you also see "a lot like giant wooden boxes"--and "giant" and "wooden" are both adjectives. sentence 2 doesn't require a comma because wooden applies to boxes, as in the specific type of box, and "giant" modifies the "wooden boxes" as a whole. the same cannot be said for the "huge, cumbersome crank" because "huge" doesn't modify the "cumbersome crank" as a whole, it only modifies the ceank itself.
The answer is the first one
This year I went to a college basket ball game. The two teams playing head to head were the Falcons and the Cardinals. The teams battled making shots and fouls. All trying to score more points than the other. Towards the end of the game the two teams went into overtime! They tied and were in a sudden death round, first team to score won. The Falcons made a dunk shot and won the game. They were all so competitive with each other but in the end they all still managed to give each other high fives and say good game.
