Answer:

have experienced a day alone in my home. I found that was so much boring but in the end, I realized I can make my day enjoyable even when I am alone and that’s the experience that I am going to share with you. Anyone can make his alone at home enjoyable if they follow this.

My parents and my sister went to visit my uncle for a full day and I was busy with my studies. I could make it with them. And I decided to stay at home alone. My morning started with breakfast that my mom made for me. I ate breakfast and went for a morning walk. After a 30 minute morning walk, I returned home with one of my best friend Monika.

She spent around 30 minutes with me, and then she left for her need. I thought to study for a few hours. My mood was very good and I decided to study Math. I did lots of math and that was enjoyable. After two hours I was so much exhausted and I didn’t understand what to do.

I turned on Television and watched a football match, I enjoyed that a lot. But after the match, I didn’t understand what to do. I started feeling so much bored. At that time I remembered my cousin Tania gave me a few books to read.

I started reading books. I am a book lover and I love reading books. Then time flows easily. I read two books and then I ate my lunch. After lunch, I used my computer and listened to a few songs. That made my mind so charming.

In the afternoon, I went out for a little walk. I came back to home after a 30-minute walk. Overall that was a very good day for me and I found that spending time alone at home is not that hard, anyone can do that.

After the semifinals, the team had only one thing on its mind -- winning the championship.

Think of the elongated hyphen as connecting two separate statements... In this case, the second statement is what the team wants.

Some details that the text show that the excerpt was written in the past and not the present is, the story uses a lot of had and was which could be a huge clue that the text was written in the past sense its using past tense vocabulary. for example, in the excerpt it talks about how the children had a kind and merry housemaid. If it was present tense then the sentence would be, they have a kind and merry housemaid because it would mean that the house maid is with them right now and if it was future tense then it would be they will have a kind and merry housemaid because they don't have the maid yet and you would be using future tense words to indicate it hasn't happened yet. I hope this makes sense and helps.
