At the beginning of the play, before Duncan was killed, it did lead us to believe that Lady Macbeth was indeed a strong woman. But, after the murder of Duncan, she slowly started to lose her mind. She began seeing things and hearing the voice of Duncan in her head, she started to sleep walk frequently.
