W. E. B. Du Bois demonstrated that limited opportunities and racism shaped every aspect of the lives of African Americans. Africans were discriminated against in various spheres and as a result were limited in the extent they could advance themselves
The same themes apply to people living in very different times and places. (I think)
They all believe in one god but they each know him differently. <span />
It helped people understand their surroundings to let them know which places were dangerous and which ones wernt
