Answer:

It's literally a shorter version of "what is up you all", but basically it's an informal and quite cooler way of greeting friends, similar to saying Hello, Hi or Hey.

Alright so i read the book. The answer is B. sympathetic and generous.
Because remember in the story the childerns mother got a job and didnt come to pick them up on time. The girl felt denied and missed her mother badly. Yet Ms.Crossman was there for her to tell her its going to alright. Which proves for her to be generous and caring which leads to sympathetic.
