Verbs can be tricky things, and the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs often confounds even the best grammar students and writers. An intransitive verb is simply defined as a verb that does not take a direct object. There's no word in the sentence that tells who or what received the action.

An intransitive verb does not direct action toward anyone or anything named in the sentence.

I need help please! I need 14 sentences to answer this question Please!
nirvana33 [79]
I have been doing my favorite hobby for a long time. I enjoy listening to music because it transports me to a different world. It keeps me at ease and I forget everything that stresses me out. My favorite genre is rap, and although at times it may be aggressive the lyrics are very meaningful. The bars are catchy and make me want to get up and dance. It's nice knowing someone with the same music taste as you because you can enjoy the music together. The majority of the time the rapper is passionate about the subject they are rapping about. Reading comics is interesting because it helps me to live out adventures I could never go on in real life. The plot twists are cool and always surprising. Reading comics is relaxing because you do not have to focus on anything else. Hiking is exciting since doing so can help you travel the world. The foliage is beautiful and it is very serene. Hiking through the woods can be scary but also fun. There are suspicious things that lurk in the woods but the majority of the time being in the woods is fun.

Hey! I am a senior. I have taken AP language, literature, biology, chemistry, government, and world history. Overall, they are quite difficult classes, however, if you put forth the effort and pay attention you will be fine! Do not over-stress yourself about it. If it helps, I have not gotten a grade lower than a B in any of the classes! You'll do great. (:
