English

Answer: Imagine this, You know that one of your family members is about to get robbed by someone you know, instead of letting your family know, or help prepare them and try and stop it, you just let it happen, and instead of taking the risk of something happening to you, you just watch the robbery happen and do nothing about it. Even though you could have saved a robbery. Or Imagine this, Someone in your grade is bullying someone in the grade below you, you could easily stand up for them or get help from a teacher, but you decide to just stand there and watch. Being a bystander is as bad if not worse, than being the person doing the action.

Explanation:

Instead of getting help, you watch for your own good.

You are doing nothing to help, you just make it worse.

Hope this helps :))))

What evidence does Emerson use to support his claim that to be great is to be misunderstood
tigry1 [53]
He claims two things: One that small minds are akin to a "shadow on the wall" and that there is no benefit in trying to please them because one never will.

Secondly, he asserts that other great men, like Luther, Socrates, Jesus, Galileo and Copernicus were also misunderstood, so being misunderstood isn't a bad thing. One should speak his mind fully and firmly and, if misunderstood, recognize that he is in great company.

Baseball from pitch to hits story need answers
professor190 [17]

Hit by pitch:

In baseball, hit by pitch (HBP) is a situation in which a batter or his clothing or equipment (other than his bat) is struck directly by a pitch from the pitcher; the batter is called a hit batsman (HB). A hit batsman is awarded first base, provided that (in the plate umpire's judgment) he made an honest effort to avoid the pitch, although failure to do so is rarely called by an umpire. Being hit by a pitch is often caused by a batter standing too close to, or "crowding", home plate.

Records:

The all-time record for pitchers is held by Gus Weyhing with 277 (1887–1901). The modern-era career pitching record for most hit batsmen is 205 by Hall-of-Famer Walter Johnson. The season record is 54 by Phil Knell in 1891, and the game record is six, held by Ed Knouff and John Grimes.[8] Brady Anderson was the first player to be hit by a pitch two times in the same inning in an American League game. On April 25, 2014, Brandon Moss became the second when he was hit twice in the top of the 9th inning by Houston Astros pitchers. Five players have been hit by a pitch twice in the same inning in the National League.
