Given :-
To Do :-
- To identify slope and y intercept and then sketch it's graph .
Solution :-
Given equation to us is ,
→ y = 3x -1
As we know that , the <u>slope</u><u> </u><u>intercept</u><u> form</u><u> </u> of the line is ,
→ y = mx + c
where m is the slope and c is the y intercept .On comparing both , we have ,
- slope = 3
- y intercept = -1 .
So the graph will cut the y axis at (0,-1) . And will have a slope of 3 .
<u>When </u><u>y </u><u>coordinate</u><u> </u><u>is </u><u>0</u><u> </u><u>,</u>
So that ,
→ x - 0 / 0 -(-1) = 3
→ x/0+1 = 3
→ x/1 = 3
→ x = 3
Hence one other point is (3,0 ).
Now we may plot the graph using these two points (3,0) and (0,-1) .
<u>For</u><u> </u><u>graph</u><u> </u><u>see </u><u>attachment</u><u> </u><u>.</u>
I hope this helps .
