The question is incomplete, here is the complete question.

Read the excerpt from "The Monkey's Paw."

But her husband was on his hands and knees groping wildly on the floor in search of the paw. If he could only find it before the thing outside got in. A perfect fusillade of knocks reverberated through the house, and he heard the scraping of a chair as his wife put it down in the passage against the door. He heard the creaking of the bolt as it came slowly back, and at the same moment he found the monkey's paw, and frantically breathed his third and last wish.

The knocking ceased suddenly, although the echoes of it were still in the house. He heard the chair drawn back, and the door opened. A cold wind rushed up the staircase, and a long loud wail of disappointment and misery from his wife gave him courage to run down to her side, and then to the gate beyond. The street lamp flickering opposite shone on a quiet and deserted road.

Shortly before Hebert's death a family friend, Sergeant Major Morris came visiting and then gave Mr White a monkey paw, he claimed that they had magical powers. It was the following day that the couple were informed about the death of their only son, they were both devastated. Mrs white then ordered her husband to wish her son back to life, Mr White made the second wish but series of strange things began to happen, suddenly a knock was heard on the door Mrs white rushed down to see if her son had returned back but Mr White was scared of what he had wished for so he searched for the paw and made the third wish and then the strange sounds ceased. Sav [38]

B-We but half express ourselves, and are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represents.

Self-Reliance is an essay written by Waldo Emerson, he was a philosopher that constantly wrote that the human being should follow its own ideas and be itself to its fullest. And this phrase describes him the best because he stated that we were only half us, and tried to match a concept of what society wanted us to be, and that if we conected with our innerself we could realizes how unique and divine each of us are.
