Explain why California’s deciduous tree oaks might be especially sensitive to climate changes, and how they appear to be respond
mamaluj [8]

Answer and Explanation :

It is known that California's oaks Quercus douglasi and Quercus Lobata are very sensitive to change in temperature and precipitation. It is grown in Mediterranean type of climate which has most of the rainfall during winters. They are drought tolerant but experience different changes when it precipitates more. They largely depend upon soil moisture availability and due to low competition, have low incentives. They are highly sensitive to the availability of water.

Change in climate may change the color of the trees and they see shift in spatial features with climate change. There also occurs death of the trees at large number due to climate change as they are intolerant to certain environmental conditions.

Describe the overall pattern of global malnourishment?
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

The chart shows the total number of individuals across the world who are defined as undernourished.

Globally we see a falling – although variable – trend over the last few decades. The total number of undernourished has been steadily falling. However, over the last few years, the total number increased by around 40 million, reaching 821 million in 2017.

The UN FAO have linked this increase in undernourishment in particular to the rising extent of conflict-affected countries (which is often a leading cause of famine), and compounded by climate-related factors such as the El Niño phenomenon (which can inflict both drought and flood conditions).3,4

Global number of people who are undernourished

Total number of people who are defined as undernourished. An individual is considered to be undernourished when

dietary energy consumption is less than a pre-determined threshold. This threshold is country specific and is measured

in terms of the number of kilocalories required to conduct sedentary or light activities.

Why did britain, a former enemy, propose a common policy on latin america?
dexar [7]

Britain proposed a common policy on Larin America because the Monroe Doctrine satisfied the demands of the British, which kept the French, Dutch and Spanish out of America, as well as sustained  trade with them. Furthermore, it allowed the establishing of the "Informal Empire" greatly of South America, where Britain constructed the telephone networks, dominated trade and railways. As a matter of fact, America was  in no position to regulate and control the doctrine, but the US Navy was too small, on the other hand, the Royal Navy is the largest navy in the World until 1946, could control  it.
