Read the excerpt from the “Conclusion” of Walden.
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

Individuals who follow their dreams eventually attain them.

Explanation:

In the excerpt, Walden starts off by stating '...if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.'

The answer is merely a simplified version of what Walden was explaining. You can snuff out keyword such as 'dreams' and 'meet' which mean the same as 'dreams' and 'attain'. The last two option are immediately eliminated as this passage mentioned nothing of cultures. And, the first option couldn't be the answer because the passage mentions nothing of surroundings, so that can be eliminated, leaving the last option as the most logical choice.

Serga [27]

Answer:

Poor performance in academics.

Changes in their personalities.

Explanation:

When individuals join a college or university, they experience major stress which they have never experienced before. This is could be because of changes in lifestyle, new responsibilities and excessive workload they are burdened with.

These factors subsequently increases students' stress level and may have negative impact on their performance as a result. The two ways which stress could impact negatively on student's performance at college or university are:

1. Poor performance in academics: With overwhelming stress and pressure, students tend to lose focus and concentration during lectures or studying. As a result, they may perform very poor during exams and assessments.

2. Changes in their personalities: Many students who go through a lot of stress avoid social interaction and gatherings. They chose to remain away from people and consequently develops hostile personalities.
