I am 100% positive that the answer is true.
The Beetoven pieces and Mozart pieces are like the "shake it off" these days. Unlike some composers these composers were very popular and I may be hard to tell but Mozart used to be Katy Perry (joke because they both have weird hair.
They include objects that tell about the artist, and they were often painted by self taught artists! :)
