The failed attempt by revolutionaries to overthrow the government of Russia after the death of Alexander I known as the Decembrist Uprising

What was Decembrist Uprising?

Decembrist Uprising was seen during 1825 when people started protesting against the appointment of Nicholas I in the government. It leads to the killing of several men and many were exiled by the army.

Therefore, it was due to the pressure and encouragement of opposing parties. However, the results were not desirable as the revolt failed as Nicholas was still appointed.
