what impact did christopher columbus and his men have once they came to the americas? i need help with an essay so a longish ans
damaskus [11]

Answer:

Mestizos, encomienda, and the Columbian trade: Europeans, Africans, and the peoples of the Americas all felt the effects of Columbus's discovery. When Columbus stepped ashore, he merged and clashed with two distinct ecosystems. This experience with Columbian trading lasted for centuries after 1492. Thousands of Aztec Indians perished.

The population of Taino Indigenous people in Hispaniola decreased from a million to a few hundred within fifty years after the advent of the Spanish. The "heathen lands" of the Americas were divided by the Treaty of Tordesillas, which united Spain and Portugal. Native Americans might be "committed" or given to select colonists in exchange for a pledge to attempt to convert them to Christianity.

Mestizos have developed their own unique cultural identity over the last several centuries. To this day, Mexico's people are torn between pride and ambivalence about their country's unique fusion of the Old and the New Worlds. Columbus' landing in the Americas had a wide range of effects. To name a few: the Columbian Exchange, the Encomienda System, the Mestizo Culture, the Destruction of the Aztec Empire, and many more. Plants, animals, microorganisms, and humans were all transported over the Atlantic as part of the Columbian Exchange.

Now Columbus landed, two ecosystems clashed, sparking the Columbian trade. Encomienda permitted the government to give her Native Americans to specific colonists in exchange for their efforts to convert them to Christianity. More than death and conquest, the Spanish brought mestizos into being. They brought fruits, livestock, their culture, and religion, and so forth... As a result, Columbus' presence in the Americas had both beneficial and detrimental repercussions.

Bake Sale Tale

Today is the day I'm going to the bake sale for school. I jumped out of bed and got dressed quicker then a jack rabbit. As I walked downstairs I could already smell fresh chocolate chip cookies that Mom has been making for the bake sale. "Good morning!" I yelled with excitement . "Good morning sweetie." she replied. I looked over her shoulder at the gooey , warm brownies. I wanted to grab one, mom interrupted"No, these are for later and there not quite done yet." So she put the brownies back into the oven and started to clean a little. Hours passed and the brownies where done or so I thought...

Mom grabbed her purse and the brownies and got into the car so I followed. Once we where at the bake sell you could smell so many various aroma's such as pumpkin pie, sweet apple cobbler, and much more. When we got to our table Mom put the brownies on the table, and people started to gather around. Mom quickly took off the lid, and then I saw the brownies amass. "Oh no!" I said in a quite tone. Mom looked at me and said "Sorry, I guess it's still not finished. It was warm and perfect before we left."

Then I quickly started to convey, I looked at everyone's sweets and they where perfect. Everyone enjoyed theres, why did this happen to me? This isn't fair! I went to the Principal which she was the one who started the bake sell. I said in a sad tone "Can you please end the bake sale?" she replied "Why?" I told her "Well my brownies are undercooked, and can't be eaten." For a few minutes I tried to mediate the principal, but it didn't work. Suddenly Mom ran up to me with a new box of brownies. I shouted "You got more brownies?" Mom replied "Yes, I did!" We went back to the table and placed the brownies down, and a bunch of people amass around our table buying a brownie. I quickly reverted from my depressed state to being filled with joy. I hovered over the brownies with hungry intent.

Remember you may give up, but anything can happen so just wait. Things happen for a pretty good reason.

Hope I helped!

Good Luck!
