PLEASE HELP FAST ...A museum surveyed three groups of 5 members to find out how many times the members visited the zoo in the pa

st year. The table shows the results of the three samples.
Survey Visits to the Museum
Group 1 {4, 10, 6, 3, 8}
Group 2 {3, 1, 2, 1, 2}
Group 3 {7, 9, 3, 4, 7}
Identify any surveys that are likely biased. Based on the unbiased surveys, estimate the mean number of visits per member in the past year.

Enter your answer in the box. Round to the nearest whole number

I think the group 2 survey is likely to be biased towards people who are not too keen on zoos since all the values are small.
From group 1 and 3 the mean number of visits are
     (4 + 10 + 6 + 3 + 8 + 7 + 9 + 3 + 4 + 7) / 10

=   61/10

mean = 6

Group 2 is biased.

mean number of visits = (4+10+6+3+8+7+9+3+4+7)/10 = 61/10 = 6.1

Write an equation for a circle with a diameter that has endpoints at (–10, 1) and (–8, 5). Round to the nearest tenth if necessa
satela [25.4K]

The standard form for the equation of a circle is :

<span><span><span> (x−h)^</span>2</span>+<span><span>(y−k)^</span>2</span>=<span>r2</span></span><span> ----------- EQ(1)
</span><span> where </span><span>handk</span><span> are the </span><span>x and y</span><span> coordinates of the center of the circle and </span>r<span> is the radius.
</span> The center of the circle is the midpoint of the diameter.

 So the midpoint of the diameter with endpoints at (−10,1)and(−8,5) is :

 ((−10+(−8))/2,(1+5)/2)=(−9,3)

 So the point (−9,3) is the center of the circle.

  Now, use the distance formula to find the radius of the circle:

  r^2=(−10−(−9))^2+(1−3)^2=1+4=5

 ⇒r=√5

 Subtituting h=−9, k=3 and r=√5 into EQ(1) gives :

 (x+9)^2+(y−3)^2=5
