Reliability in science is so important because if you aren't able to depend on data or results as trustworthy or accurate, then it's possible that when your experiment is replicated the person replicating the experiment may not receive the same results as you, causing a dispute.
Explanation:

Reliability in itself is being able to depend on something, seeing it as something trustworthy or perhaps depending on something to be accurate.

Science was always through conducting experiments and reliability is something important to have while conducting those experiments. "Reliability in science is so important because if you aren't able to depend on data or results as trustworthy or accurate, then it's possible that when your experiment is replicated the person replicating the experiment may not receive the same results as you, causing a dispute."
