When a cell is infected with a virus several effects may be seen. Many viruses cause no harm or disease whatsoever. However, som

e viruses may attack certain cells and multiply within them. Scientist are currently studying a new virus potentially named ribovirus. Once it is inside the host cell, ribovirus has the ability to shut down the ribosomes found inside the cell. How will a human cell be affected once it is infected with ribovirus?.

A human cell will be affected once it is infected with ribovirus by resulting in the following:

  • Cellular damage
  • Inability to reproduce
  • Inability to produce enzymes etc.

<h3>What is a Ribosome?</h3>

This is an organelle which serves as a site for protein synthesis. When they are shut down by a ribovirus, they create negative effects.

The effects are mentioned above and makes it the most appropriate choice.
