A factory made 5,000 packs of gum. 85% of the packs contained mint-flavored gum. How
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

4250

Step-by-step explanation:

5000 packs of gum were produced by the factory.

85% of them contained mint-flavoured gum.

That is,

(85/ 100) × 5000 packs contained mint-flavoured gum.

= 85 × 50

= 4250.

Answer:

Out of 5000 packs, 4250 contained mint-flavored gum.

Emma is building a wall around her garden. It has take 45 minutes,and she is 75% done what is the told time it will take Emma to
kicyunya [14]
Ok so first we need to write a fraction.

75 percent/45 mins

then we convert that into a unit rate

1.67 percent/1 min

so, now that we have the unit rate, we know exactly how fast she is moving.

Now, we divide 25 by 1.67 because 25% is the distance between the completion of the gate and current state of the gate.

So we get 14.97, which we can safely round up to 15.

It will take her 15 mins more to finish the gate, and it has already taken 45, so 45+15=60

60 MINS TOTAL/ 1 HOUR

What are the explicit equation and domain for an arithmetic sequence with a first term of 5 and a second term of 2?
Citrus2011 [14]

The easiest way to answer this is to try all choices, plug in values for the 1st term and 2nd term then check if the answer matches with 5 and 2. (n = 1 and n = 2)

We know that n starts with 1 because that is our 1st term, we do not have 0th term, therefore that leaves us with 2 choices.

Choice 1: an = 5 − 2(n − 1); all integers where n ≥ 1

n = 1

a1 = 5 – 2 (1 – 1) = 5 – 2 (0)

a1 = 5

n = 2

a2 = 5 – 2 (2 – 1) = 5 – 2 (1)

a2 = 3 (FALSE!)

Choice 2: an = 5 − 3(n − 1); all integers where n ≥ 1

n = 1

a1 = 5 – 3 (1 – 1) = 5 – 3 (0)

a1 = 5

n = 2

a2 = 5 – 3 (2 – 1) = 5 – 3 (1)

a2 = 2 (TRUE)

Therefore the correct answer is:

an = 5 − 3(n − 1); all integers where n ≥ 1

when a number is written in scientific notation how can you tell right away weather or not it is greater than or equal to one
lidiya [134]
Right away, you can tell that the number is greater that one if the exponent is positive. For example, 1.23 x 10 to the power of 2 would be 123, which is greater than 1. If the exponent is negative, the answer will most likely be less than 1. For example, 1.23 to the power or -2 would be .0123.

Hope this helps!
