Answer: Hi there! I may be mistaken, but I believe that a selection of answers should've been provided, but this answer may help with your final decision: Many of the Middle English words are similar to the modern English words, even though the spellings differ.

Explanation: PEDIAA writes that "Middle English was used from the 1100s to about 1400s, and Modern English is the language used from 1400 onwards." Compared to Old English, Middle English is far more similar to the language we speak today!

Hope this helps out a bit! :)

Read the following story:
Nata [24]

Answer:

D. The corruption of the good by the forces of evil and selfishness

Explanation:

War is always, and should always, be talked about in a negative connotation. In this case, the "forces of evil" is the negative experiences that the officer has obtained, whether it was the death of close comerades, or the experiences of first-hand killing of enemies. When one has seen the negatives of life in the underworld of war, the old age beliefs of honor within a battlefield is but lost. As such, when the virginity of a person's innocence is destroyed by the harrowing experiences, and, most likely, the close view of death, they lose interest of the every-day blessings, such as that they cannot get over the nightmares (PTSD). When the goodness of the world has been removed, and one is only exposed to the worse, the viewpoints of one become narcisistic, and the joys of life loses it's color and prestige within one's life.

What do you think contributes to someone committing atrocities? explain.
hammer [34]
Criminologists have developed many theories as to why people commit crimes. If you check the History Learning Site, it lists one prominent theory that explains how people are influenced by the environment around them, especially the environment they grew up in. Conversely, others believe that one's biology and genetics determine an individual's potential to become a criminal. Other theories suggest that humans are innately self-interested and will commit crimes if they perceive the benefits of the crime to be greater than the risks to themselves. Another theory maintains that people commit crimes based on their social environment and the people they associate with. Still others believe that individuals commit crimes because they are unable to achieve success in life through legal means. Ultimately, the reason that people commit crimes is likely a combination of many different theories and is highly dependent on the individual situation and characteristics of a particular criminal.
