Solution:

If the <u>numerator</u> and the <u>denominator</u> have like bases in exponents, then the <u>exponents</u> subtract.

  • \frac{7b^5}{b^4} = 7b^5^{-4}
  • => 7b

Thus, 7b is the simplified expression.

Find the area shaded in yellow. Plsss help me !!!
k0ka [10]
To find the area the easyiest divide it into 2 shapes that we know the area formula for: a triangle and a rectangle

the rectangle is 5 units by 7 units
A=l*w
A=5*7
A=35

the triangle is 4 units at the base and 5 units in height
A=bh/2
A=(4)(5)/2
A=20/2
A=10

To get the total area add the 2 areas together

35+10=45

Answer: Area of the yellow shape is 45 sq units

hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

3 is 1/5 so 3*5 is how many kids are on the ride.

3 * 5 = 15. There are 15 kids on the ride, but the question's answer would just be 3*5.
