The Second letter sent to  George III, the King of Britain by the Americans, is known as the Olive Branch Petition. It was also known as the  Humble Petition due to the fact that it declared that the colonies will remain loyal to the crown given that the King just accepts to some of the grievances these colonies. However, when King George III commanded blockade to cut off the trade and supplies to the colonies as retribution for revolting against his rule, this Petition became one of the causes for the Revolutionary War.
