Write four to six sentences explaining the use of extended metaphor in the poem "Caged Bird” by Maya Angelou.
jonny [76]
The bird is a metaphor of a human. Two birds, a free and a caged one, depict the struggle of a restricted human condition, juxtaposed to the assets of being free. A free bird, that is a free human being, can enjoy the wind and nature; it is daring and venturous and not afraid of failure. A caged bird, that is a confined human being, is embittered and furious. The singing motif means that art is a kind of remedy and beautiful protest of confined individuals. Admirable though it is, their song is painful and tragic.

Ugo [173]

Answer:

first of all i love harry potter, im 100% obsessed

Explanation:

its a little unfair that she takes 20 points from draco but then she takes 50 each from hermionie, harry and nevile.

she handled it very well. she has yet to know that informing snape or dracos parents doesnt do anything. no favoritism. i would have done the exact same thing knowing what McGonagall knows.

she has yet to know about other students out of bed. she just thinks he is trying to stir up trouble by lieing about other students and what they are doing. she could have taken away more points in my opinion, maybe like 10 more. in her eyes he is out of bed, making up lies, and trying to get other students in trouble. i would have taken like 10 points away for each of thoes.

Select two principles of ethical communication.
Oxana [17]

☁️My Answer☁️:

1. Be Truthful And Honest

Being honest means communicating what is known to be true (only 100 percent the facts) to a listener, with no intent to deceive or present only parts of the truth. It also means being as objective as possible, that is, not tailoring the story based on what the speaker wants the listener to believe. Letting the listener take the data that is objectively presented and believe what they choose to believe is a core goal of ethical communication. Ethical communication should be based on accurate information and facts - in a word, do not lie.

2. Active Listening

Hearing someone and listening to them are two different things. In order for ethical communication to be effective, it is necessary for the recipient to pro-actively listen to the speaker, and to not just hear what they want to hear, or to hear only parts of the conversation. This also means asking questions when any point is not completely understood, for the sake of clarification.
