During the WWII, Black and Asian Citizens in the American Navy were being treated badly.

For example, rather that given jobs that made good use of their training, they were asked to do lower level jobs. such as loading admonitions. They were not trained for this.

This led to a huge accident on July the 17th of 1972 which claimed lots of lives.
