In "The Emperor's New Clothes" what does the opening tell you about the narrator?

English
1 answer:

Answer: B

Explanation:

A second person narrator is very uncommon, and will use the words "you" and "your" as subjects. (Some self-insert fanfictions do this, but that's about it.)

A first person narrator is much more common, and it would mean the story is told by a character in the book and use "I, I'm, I've," etc. in places other than dialogue.

Looking up the story, I can see neither of these are the case, so it's probably B.

How does Paul Thompson describe Nathaniel Brazill's state of mind during the trial? Why is that relevant?
luda_lava [24]

Paul Thompsn describes a massive loss of brain cells and therefore brain conections in those areas that are related to impulses and to self control as an event that occurs in all teenagers, and considers this loss to be the cause of many teenagers' reckless behavior and mental confusion. While Dr. Thompson does not consider this scientific finding a justification for violent actions like the shooting of a teacher by Brazill, he does prove that an adolescent's brain is not the same as an adult's and therefore the trial of Nathaniel Brazill should not be based on the same criteria as if he had planned his actions with an adult's mind and deliberation. Dr. Thompson's description resulted in his being sentenced for second-degree murder, rathen tthan for first-degree murder as he would have been, had he been an adult.

Line chosen from the poem is fair as a star has use of simile.

Explanation:

Four lines chosen from the poem are :

A violet from a mossy stone

half hidden from the eye!

Fair as a star, when only one

Is shining in the sky.

In the third line of this stanza, simile has been used because a comparison has been made in the poem using the word "as". This helps to understand the meaning that the poet is trying to make with more impact and gives them an example.
