After teaching a group of students about intestinal obstruction, the instructor determines that the teaching was effective when
Maksim231197 [3]
B)Abdominal surgery

Explanation:
In functional obstruction, the intestine can become adynamic from an absence of normal nerve stimulation to intestinal muscle fibers. For example, abdominal surgery can lead to paralytic ileus. Mechanical obstructions result from a narrowing of the bowel lumen with or without a space-occupying mass. A mass may include a tumor, adhesions (fibrous bands that constrict tissue), incarcerated or strangulated hernias, volvulus (kinking of a portion of intestine), intussusception (telescoping of one part of the intestine into an adjacent part), or impacted feces or barium. A rare condition in which muscle temperature increases faster than core temperature and has symptoms similar to heatstroke is kn
Mrac [35]

Answer:

Malignant hyperthermia

Explanation:

Malignant hyperthermia is a syndrome of genetic origin, where susceptible individuals, when exposed to certain anesthetics (especially inhalers) develop a hypermetabolic condition characterized by increased muscle temperature faster than core temperature. Failure to treat the symptoms immediately can result in death. It was first described in Australia in the year 1960 by Denborough and Lowell, later other cases were described in Wisconsin and Toronto.

Malignant hyperthermia occurs in most cases due to mutation of a calcium channel of skeletal muscles. This mutation may result in exacerbated calcium release in the muscle when some anesthetics are present. This can result in the destruction of skeletal muscle fiber. As there is a high energy consumption, increased CO2 production and rapid increase in body temperature, with biochemical and hematological consequences, there may also be the evolution to irreversible shock and cardiovascular collapse.

Why do people cry a lot?
Pepsi [2]
These are the tears produced in response to that strong emotion you may experience from stress, pleasure, anger, sadness and suffering to indeed, physical pain. Psychic tears even contain a natural painkiller, called leucine enkephalin – perhaps, part of the reason why you might feel better after a good cry!

People generally cry more than others becuase they are more emotional.
