The major difference between both kissinger and cooper's interpretations are; Kissinger interpreted his in form of violence and inconsideration while Cooper interpreted his in form of sympathy and understanding.

What are the different interpretations?

Henry Kissinger said that the Versailles Treaty was a diplomatic document that missed its objective because it was too punitive for conciliation and too lenient to keep Germany from recovering. Further more, he said that the Versailles Treaty sentenced the exhausted democracies to constant vigilance against an irreconcilable and revanchist Germany including the revolutionist Soviet Union.

Now, John Cooper was the author of the book Breaking the Heart of the World via the story of Woodrow Wilson and the Fight for the League of Nations.

John Cooper interpretation of the story of Wilson's battle for the League was that he related it to sympathy, accuracy, and a deep understanding of the times then.
