Answer/Explanation:

Do you know that many kids are not playing sports as much now? Even so, there are many benefits of getting children involved in competitive sports, many children quit at a young age. When young children play competitive sports they not only are these youngsters at risk to develop injuries. In addition, intense training schedules and pressure to win. The purpose of this essay is to argue that youngsters should not participate in competitive sports.

Firstly, While kids are in competitive sports they usually tend to get Injuries. In the article “Pushing Too Hard too young” the author states that “One of the most comprehensive surveys to date, by the Centers for disease control and prevention, found that from 1997 to 1999 sports and recreation related injuries were more common nationwide than injuries from traffic accidents”.This illustrates that there were way too many injuries during sport games and practices during those years, and there still are today, and they will probably be there in the future. This can be very bad for our future of sports because many of the pro teams might have less adults playing in them because of injuries

Yet, some may argue that there are many benefits of competitive from doing sports. One reason for this argument is that playing a sport teaches teenagers many valuable life skills including leadership, the value of teamwork and cooperation. On the other hand, Kids may want to join sports to learn valuable life skills . From the article of “Pushing too hard too young” it states that “parents and coaches who push too hard too young, particularly when they emphasize winning above all else, can easily wipe out a child's motivation to play.Over all,Kids shouldn’t participate in competitive sports.

Furthermore, Kids that are competitive sports have intense training schedules. In the article “Pushing too hard to young” the author states that “ Kids may have to sacrifice other interests because of the competitive sport  and give up most of the down time that allows them to just be kids. This reveals when you are in competitive sports you have to train and that makes kids don’t have time to do what they want. This may affect the kids' childhood.

In addition, Kids that are in competitive sports have endured significant stress associated with the pressure to win.In the article “Pushing too hard too young” the author states that Kids with a strong internal drive may thrive in the competition. But the pressure can be too much for others, particularly grade-schoolers who aren’t as equipped to deal with the stress as older athletes. This clarifies that youth athletes are not tiny adults. Their brains and bodies aren't fully developed yet, which implies  they may not be able to handle the competitive and strenuous nature of playing a single sport year-round mentally or physically.

There is a lot of evidence that proves youngsters shouldn’t participate in competitive sports. When young children play competitive sports and their parents or coaches push too hard , children usually quit. As well as, when young children play competitive sports they have a chance of getting hurt. A lot of parents would say they’d rather see their kids playing sports than spending their free time on their phones or playing video games. But  as long as kids are having fun and not being pushed too hard, where’s the harm?

Answer/Explanation:

Did you know that studies show that  competitive sports for young children can lead to painful injuries? However some people may point out the benefits of children participating in competitive sports, despite any of the points people make none of them is worth the big risk. When kids play in competitive sports it can cause them to be stressed and mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. Also, when sports become super competitive and only about winning, it can cause them to lose interest in the sport because it's no longer fun. The point of this essay is to argue that children shouldn’t take part in competitive sports.

Importantly, children's involvement in competitive sports  can be mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting. On page 2 of the passage “Pushing too hard too young” it states that children that take part in competitive sport are at risk for emotional burnout. But also children can get injuries that affect them for life. This shows that young kids that play in competitive sports are being cheated out of their childhood. Also, too much stress and pressure can affect their emotional, mental, and physical health, and can lead to many dangerous risks.

Others may argue that competitive sports are good for children because there are many positive benefits of children playing in competitive sports. One reason for this argument is that it helps with physical health. However you don’t have to play in competitive sports to benefit physically. You can do non competitive sports and it will help your physical health. Although some children can handle the pressure from competitive sports some children do not do too well with pressure. The passage ‘Pushing too hard too young’ states “kids with a strong internal drive may thrive on the competition. But the pressure can be too much for others”. Overall it would be best for children's mental, and physical health if they don’t play competitive sports.

Even though others argue that there are benefits with competitive sports, eventually the children will not even enjoy the sport anymore. On page 2 of the passage “Pushing too hard too young” it states that children that take part in competitive sport are at risk for emotional burnout. But also children can get injuries that affect them for life. As a result of competitive sports it causes children to lose excitement in the sport. It will also force them to lose interest in the sport because it's not about the fun and anymore it's mostly about winning.

In conclusion, there is a lot of evidence that proves children shouldn’t play competitive sports. Competitive sports can lead to depression and massive stress, and it can also lead to life long injuries. Is any benefit worth the life long damage competitive sports can do to a child?

Answer:

It was a female figure, dressed in

black. She was seated on one of the lower steps of the scaffold,

leaning forward, her face hid in her lap, and her long dishevelled tresses hanging to the ground, streaming with the rain

which fell in torrents. Wolfgang paused. There was something

awful in this solitary monument of wo. The female had the appearance of being above the common order. He knew the

times to be full of vicissitude, and that many a fair head, which

had once been pillowed on down, now wandered houseless.

Perhaps this was some poor mourner whom the dreadful axe

had rendered desolate, and who sat here heartbroken on the

strand of existence, from which all that was dear to her had

been launched into eternity.

He approached, and addressed her in the accents of sympathy. She raised her head and gazed wildly at him. What was his

astonishment at beholding, by the bright glare of the lightning, the very face which had haunted him in his dreams. It

was pale and disconsolate, but ravishingly beautiful
