Answer:

Taking into consideration epic literature, a hero should be strong and responsible. They must have special powers to make brave deeds. And somehow, they must contribute to the well-being of their community.

Explanation:

If we happen to apply these characteristics to a real-life hero. There is a lot of people contributing to their community by being positive leaders who are working towards the betterment of humanity exercising their faith, bravery, and loyalty. If I had to mention specifically a person, it would be Greta Thunberg. She is standing up for her rights by claiming to the world governments to stop polluting the earth since it is not only her future but the world's destiny that is in jeopardy.

There is no big difference among real-life heroes between present and past. All of them are people fighting for a better future. Probably in the past, most of these kinds of people were fighting towards governments who used their people and money to fight wars to control more territory. Nowadays, there are not only fighting against violence but also people who are fighting for a sustainable future. A future in which all humans recognize themselves as an only race who share the same home

You will have to answer the 2nd question as it is a reflection on yourself. However, I will help you out with the 1st and 3rd. All heroes are gallant, strongly opinionated, and kind. The major difference between heroes now and in the past is that heroes now generally have some sort of sci-fi superpower which started in the mid 1900s.
