The common techniques in texture:

Impasto technique is used in painting, the paint mixed on canvas to provide texture on canvas.

Cross-hatching is drawing lines to portray light and shadow technique

Contour lines is known as curve lines to shade wrinkles look real texture.

Tint is adding any color to make it lighter.

Tone describes bright or dull color quality.

Shading is use to show three-dimensional image.
