  • PROTOZOA - They are commonly called as protozoa. Most protozoa consists of the single cell. They are animal like because they are heterotrophs and are capable of moving. Protozoa are not animals ,they are ancestors of the animals.

PLANT LIKE PROTIST:

  • ALGAE-They are large and diverse group . the main reason is that they contain chloroplasts and produce the food through photosynthesis.

FUNGUS LIKE PROTIST:

  • MOLDS -They are absorptive feeders on decaying organic matter. they resemble fungi and they reproduce with spores as fungi. They are quite different from fungi and more like other protists.
